Hi! I’m Doug Jameson, RVP of the Desert Mountain Region, where I manage the sales and production teams of branches throughout the states of Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico. At Guild, I have served as a branch, area and district manager, and have helped open new branches in the region, growing sales to $1.65 billion annual production. In my 30+ year career in the mortgage industry, I’ve served as the director of sales and the vice president of production, in addition to my time as an originator during which I funded more than $1 billion in loans. We also monitor our servicing portfolio to predict when a past customer may be in the market for a loan and notify the original loan officer to follow up on the opportunity.

Instead of working in silos, Ops and Sales collaborate constantly. We hold a monthly regional update call, and also hold smaller branch-sized and branch-specific calls where our Ops leaders discuss the specific needs of local sales teams.
We feel that Ops fulfillment should be local, and not centralized. Our loan officers enjoy three operations centers, one for each state in our region. This means fulfillment is being lead by those who understand the nuance within each state. The underwriting, closing and processing leadership all roll up to the regional leadership team, not a national one.
