Guild Mortgage Accepting Applications for 2022 Collegiate Scholarships

Deadline April 4 for Guild Giving Scholarships

SAN DIEGO – Feb. 28, 2022 — Guild Mortgage (NYSE: GHLD), a rapidly growing mortgage lending company originating and servicing residential loans since 1960, is now accepting applicants for its Guild Giving Scholarships. Students interested in applying have until April 4, 2022, to submit their scholarship application at GuildGiving.org/Scholarships.

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact Americans’ finances, and their decisions on whether to pursue higher education, this scholarship helps recipients seek educational opportunities with financial support from Guild Mortgage. Up to 10 recipients will be awarded $1,500 each, annually, for up to four years, to attend accredited community colleges, universities, and trade schools.

The scholarships will be awarded based on academic performance, an essay, a statement of education and career objectives, and a letter of recommendation. Winners will be chosen by Scholarship America, a nonprofit organization that specializes in scholarship management and distribution.

Scholarship awardees will also receive yearlong access to WhichWay, a financial literacy app that provides financial resources and tips for managing credit cards, maintaining a budget, and paying for college.

The Guild Giving Scholarship is open to applicants who are United States citizens or nationals and have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.5. To be considered, applicants must be high school seniors or graduates, postsecondary undergraduates or graduate students who intend to enroll full-time in a collegiate program at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year. Applicants must also live in a state where Guild Mortgage has a branch or office. A search tool to locate Guild branches can be found at branches.guildmortgage.com.
