Nora Guerra to join Guild Mortgage as SVP, Community Lending Solutions
San Diego – October 17, 2024 – Guild Mortgage, a leading national independent mortgage lender, is strengthening its commitment to delivering the promise of home with the addition of Nora Guerra as the company’s Senior Vice President of Community Lending Solutions. Guerra most recently served as the senior manager of National Affordable Lending at Freddie Mac and has more than 25 years of leadership experience in the mortgage industry.

As SVP of Community Lending Solutions, Guerra will lead, develop and expand programs, policies and initiatives that support attainable homeownership, including mortgage lending, down payment assistance, financial education, and community outreach. “I’ve been fortunate enough to work side-by-side with Guild Mortgage for years as passionate advocates for attainable housing,” said Guerra. “By officially joining the Guild team, we have the opportunity to help shape communities across the nation with stability, liquidity and affordability to truly deliver the promise of home.”
Guerra was awarded the Latino Leadership Award from Diversity Journal in 2023 in celebration of her relentless activism for Latino housing equality and efforts to increase the financial literacy of Latino high school and university students. In the past year, she was also the recipient of the Freddie Mac CEO Award for her support in advancing homeownership in the housing industry; the National Association of Mortgage Brokers Leadership and Partner of the Year award; and the National Association of Professional Mortgage Women’s Norma Shorrock Award of Education and Innovation.
