Guild Mortgage Earns Sixth Straight STAR Performer Recognition from Fannie Mae
Mortgage lender honored for outstanding performance in both General Servicing and Solution Delivery in 2022
San Diego – May 30, 2023 — Guild Mortgage (NYSE: GHLD), growth-oriented mortgage lending company originating and servicing residential loans since 1960, earned its sixth consecutive Servicer Total Achievement and Rewards™ (STAR™) performer recognition from Fannie Mae for its commitment to affordable and sustainable homeownership.
Guild received recognition in both the General Servicing and the Solution Delivery categories for the 2022 STAR Program year. 2022 was the second year Guild earned this distinction in the Solution Delivery category, covering loss mitigation operations, retention and liquidation. Throughout Guild’s six years as a selected STAR Servicer, Fannie Mae has recognized the company in the General Servicing category five times.
“The STAR program recognizes lenders that consistently deliver results and are continually improving their processes to best serve customers,” said Russ Fowlie, executive vice president, loan servicing for Guild Mortgage. “Guild was one of just 11 lenders to be honored in more than one category. Our success in servicing and solution delivery in 2022 tells the compelling story of how our teams combined servicing and solutions to keep people in their homes. Throughout the year, our servicing teams found new ways to help our customers through challenging times and we appreciate the commitment and hard work being recognized by Fannie Mae.”
Initiated in 2011, the STAR Program is a performance management and recognition program that defines industry standards and leading practices. It seeks to understand and communicate best practices across the servicing community, provide a consistent methodology for measuring servicer performance, and identifying and recognizing Fannie Mae’s highest-performing servicing partners.
The STAR Performer recognition is reserved for top performing servicers in one or more of three categories: General Servicing, Solution Delivery, and Timeline Management. STAR Performers are evaluated across key process areas, including relevant people strategies, processes, and applicable metrics. Fannie Mae’s STAR Program acknowledges mortgage servicers for their effective, standardized processes that help drive their performance and operational success.
“We applaud the 2022 STAR Program recipients’ efforts to enable greater access to affordable and sustainable homeownership,” said Cyndi Danko, Senior Vice President and Single-Family Chief Credit Officer, Fannie Mae. “By providing mortgage assistance and long-term solutions for struggling homeowners, the 2022 STAR Program servicers have been essential partners in Fannie Mae’s journey to knock down housing barriers for people across the country.”
