Guild Mortgage and Freddie Mac team up to help educate markets across the U.S. on homeownership opportunities
- 13 Homebuying Solutions Seminars have been held in 2024 with record crowds
- Attendees are educated and provided awareness of homeownership opportunities within their cities to help combat a difficult housing market
- Three additional events scheduled for June
San Diego – June 11, 2024 – Guild Mortgage, a growth-oriented mortgage lending company, is addressing the home affordability and attainability challenges nationwide with a multi-city tour of live events designed to collaborate with other real estate industry professionals solving housing market challenges. Working with Freddie Mac, Guild is drawing record crowds as they bring together real estate agents, builders, non-profits, and the Guild sales staff at its Homebuying Solutions Seminars.
“We are really seeing the interest grow as we address the uncertainty in today’s market and help drive education on the best way to address homebuyer concerns and worries,” said David Battany, Executive Vice President of Capital Markets for Guild Mortgage. “People are often surprised when we lay out the benefits of purchasing a home now versus waiting for interest rates to drop.”
The two-hour events are open to real estate industry professionals and include presentations by various experts focused on uncovering the hidden potential of buyers in their area, discussing available products and providing new strategies to deliver the promise of home. Nora Guerra, Single Family Affordable Lending Senior Manager in SF Mission & Client Engagement at Freddie Mac, has given the keynote address at each of this year’s 13 events.
The goal of the seminars is for attendees to leave with a fresh exposure to underserved areas as well as awareness of CrossMod homes —a new type of home that may be a solution for the attainable housing inventory shortage our country is currently experiencing.
“The housing industry and homeowners are facing a lot of challenges right now, but we aren’t letting that slow us down,” said David Blazek, director of Product Development at Guild Mortgage. “We want to get in front of those challenges and provide some assistance to our real estate partners so that we continue to see the promise of home delivered across the U.S.,”
The next stop on Guild’s educational road trip will be Florida. Homebuying Solution seminars will take place in Miami on June 11 and Orlando June 12. An additional event has also been added in St. Louis on June 27.
