Thomas Gessner, Arizona, Regional Vice President

Thomas Gessner is regional vice president for Guild Mortgage in Arizona, where he oversees a team of more than 200 employees. He entered the mortgage industry in 2013 and quickly made his mark, earning the title of Academy Mortgage’s Rookie of the Year. Over the years, his dedication and financial stewardship led him to manage a thriving $1.8 billion region in Arizona.

Thomas’s leadership style emphasizes integrity and service; values he instills in his team. As a high-energy, financially minded coach and mentor, he is deeply committed to understanding and supporting the goals of each team member to help them succeed.

In addition to his vast experience in the financial services sector, Thomas served as a firefighter in the United States Air Force for 11 years, as both an active-duty member and a reservist. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Wayland Baptist University.

Outside of work, Thomas finds joy in family life, having been married to his wife Julia for over 20 years and raising four children, two boys, and two girls. In his free time, you can find him indulging in his hobbies: surfing, flying, playing chess, and shooting hoops.
