Kevin Laffey, Upper Midwest, Senior Regional Vice President, Sales and Business Development

Kevin Laffey is the senior vice president of sales and business development for twenty-three branches predominantly in the Upper Midwest. He is responsible for Retail Sales, operations, recruiting and growth in the states of Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Kansas, Missouri, Iowa and Minnesota with additional offices in Arizona and Florida.

Kevin started at Guild through the acquisition of Inlanta Mortgage in 2022. Kevin was the Senior Vice President and National Sales Manager for Inlanta Mortgage, an independent lender with $2 billion in annual production.

Kevin’s industry experience stretches over 40 years with sales leadership roles at Bank of America, Wells Fargo and his own company for five years. Kevin is a past President of the Missouri Mortgage Bankers Assn., the Kansas Mortgage Bankers Assn., and the Kansas City Chapter of MBA. He has been presented the MBA Lifetime Achievement Award for the Kansas City MBA. He is graduate of the School of Mortgage Banking.

Kevin and his wife are past chairs of the Leukemia Lymphoma Society Kansas City Chapter. He currently serves on the Board of the Kansas City Chapter of the International Wine and Food Society. He and his wife and business partner Cindy Laffey are actively involved in their church, Catholic Charities, Go Red for Women, JDRF and many other local charities.

Kevin has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture Economics and Hedging from the University of Missouri. He and Cindy have three children, one grandson and four grand dogs. They have a son who is an Army Major, son who is a Police Corporal and daughter who works in Chicago for a trading firm.
