Mike Huber, Senior Vice President, General Counsel

Mike Huber is senior vice president and general counsel for Guild Mortgage. He is responsible for advising the company on all legal issues, overseeing the organization’s Legal department and managing corporate governance activities. With a legal career spanning over 25 years, Mike brings extensive experience in mortgage banking to his role.

Before joining Guild, Mike served as general counsel for Academy Mortgage and sat on its board of directors for 12 years. Throughout his career, he represented mortgage companies nationwide in federal and state courts and advocated before regulatory bodies such as the Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

Mike holds a Juris Doctor degree from Santa Clara University.
